This FREE event will take place outdoors on Elm Street, transforming the block into a lively street party honoring the completion of the first major phase of the Depot restoration project.
The evening will feature live music by the Darr Family Band, performing from 6–8 p.m., along with food trucks, local restaurant specials, vendor booths, historic displays, Depot tours, prize drawings, grab bags, and more. Families, residents, and visitors are invited to join in this milestone celebration.
“This reopening represents the first stop on our journey to fully restore the historic Rushford Depot,” said the Rushford Area Historical Society. “With a new foundation, new roof, new storage room, and a beautiful visitors center, we’re excited to welcome the community back into this landmark and share the progress made possible through local support, grants, and countless volunteer hours.”
The Rushford Depot, a beloved symbol of the region’s railroad heritage, has been undergoing extensive restoration to preserve its structure and enhance its role as a community gathering place and historical resource. The June 9 celebration highlights the successful completion of this initial phase and kicks off the next steps toward full restoration.
